The Bay Area Doll Club of Texas Doll Convention is my absolute favorite! I have been attending for the past 5 years and wouldn’t miss it! The programs are top notch and you truly learn something from each one. The workshops are unique, challenging and taught by the most knowledgeable instructors. Not to mention, you get the best bang for the buck, of any doll convention I have attended, with an affordable hotel, a kick off happy hour and two great meals every day. The post convention workshop is the icing on the cake, where you finish the kit provided as part of the convention. Definitely a not to be missed occasion!

I’ve had the pleasure of attending the Bay Area Doll Club Convention a couple of times, and each experience has been absolutely delightful! From the engaging classes to the incredibly knowledgeable and kind-hearted teachers, every moment was filled with joy and inspiration. One of the true highlights for me has been the wonderful friendships I’ve made along the way—there’s such a warm and welcoming community here. The value is truly exceptional; for everything that’s included, it’s more than worth it. I always leave feeling uplifted, creatively recharged, and already looking forward to the next one!
I especially like that the competition is DAG sponsored. I also like that the workshops are all centered around the convention doll.

I love that this is an all inclusive safe place for those that loves dolls, antiques, doll making, history, and a creative outlet for all. I love that there is a convention doll and workshops and presentations centered around the doll and education in doll making, competition and collecting. I also love that we have the Grovian Museum and Carmel Doll shop that attends and shares knowledge and passion on the trade as well as brings such wonderful examples and opportunities in collecting, design and doll making. I also love Becca’s passion to continue the legacy and her generosity in sharing her knowledge and love for the community. It’s truly a blessing to be able to attend and to be welcomed as a male collector and doll maker.

What I like best about the Bay Area Doll Club of Texas Limited is the doll convention that we host every year! It’s a labor of love and brings together all aspects of dolls. The doll collectors, doll makers and doll sewist. It’s a source of meeting people who are of like minds!! It’s a fantastic Club.
